RAVENS

There is a region of consciousness in which certainties begin to weaken, the world loses its familiarity, and what we once recognised as ourselves begins to reveal itself in another form. We must enter this shadowed place, remain within uncertainty, and pass through what we do not yet know how to name.

Perhaps becoming conscious of who we are means precisely this: descending to where the self is no longer sufficient to explain itself, confronting our own finitude and recognising what remains hidden within it. Only through such a descent can a different understanding of ourselves, of the other, and of that which transcends us begin to emerge.

The raven appears at the threshold, a presence accompanying us across the passage. It offers no answers and points to no path; it simply remains there, marking the entrance to the abyss.

And perhaps every ascent begins here: with the courage to look into our own abyss long enough to finally recognise a part of ourselves within it.

As consciousness turns inward, the inner world begins to lose its form. Paths disappear, forms become uncertain, and what once seemed stable begins to bend.
